How do customs work when I expand globally?
When you expand your business to an Amazon store outside of your home country and meet the requirements of Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) or a third-party fulfillment provider, you need to understand your responsibilities related to the import and export process. While you can handle some or all of these import and export steps yourself, it's easier to hire a logistics provider like a customs broker or freight forwarder to handle the process for you. These providers may have the expertise and the time to make sure your inventory moves from one place to another in a timely and secure manner.
You can also use services like Amazon Global Logistics, which offers door-to-door shipping and includes customs support. Learn more about importing and exporting inventory.

Do I need a new business or legal entity to sell with Amazon in a new country?
If your business does not have a headquarter in the country of the target store, you usually do not need to create a new entity to enable sales. However, depending on the specifics of your business and sales strategy, this can be beneficial.
Do my product ratings from the source store move to Amazon's global stores?
Yes, but only initially. If the target Amazon store doesn't already have a review for a product, the most recent reviews from your source store will be displayed. These imported reviews will remain visible until the product starts receiving local reviews. When you use Build International Listings to list products in Amazon's global stores, customer reviews will be taken to the product detail page, but will not appear on the search results page or in the bestseller ranking.
