How do I start selling on Amazon?
Starting selling on Amazon is very simple. To get started, follow the 6 steps below:
- First, choose your plan and sell through an individual or professional plan. Decide which plan works best for your business based on the amount of products you're likely to sell in a month. If you wish, you can use a specially designed fee calculator that will help you see how much you can earn by selling a certain amount of products within the selected tariff.
- Create your Amazon seller account. You can use your customer account to start selling, or you can create a new Amazon seller account with your business email. Before you sign up, make sure you have the following things ready: a company email address or Amazon customer account, an active credit card, a valid passport or ID, company registration details (with VAT number if you are VAT registered), phone number, bank account number to which Amazon can send sales receipts.
- When you complete your Amazon seller registration, you will access the Seller Central page, where sellers log in to track and manage their Amazon selling activity.
- The next step to starting selling products is to create an offer by adding a product ID (GTIN, UPC, ISBN or EAN) to determine exactly what item you are selling, a SKU ID – allowing you to track your own inventory, and listing details such as name, description, photos, keywords and search terms to help buyers find the product and the price of the product.
- Next, you need to choose the appropriate sales fulfillment option to deliver the products to your customers.
- That's it, that’s all it takes to start selling on Amazon.

What are the costs of selling on Amazon?
There are a few different types of selling fees you might pay, depending on your selling plan and the types of products you sell.
Subscription fees
These are the fees you pay for your selling plan, and they vary depending on which plan you select.
With the Professional selling plan there’s a flat fee of 165.91 PLN per month and no per-item fee.
With the Individual selling plan there’s a fee of 4 PLN for each item sold.
Selling fees
These fees are charged on the item sold and include the sales commission (which is a percentage of the total sale price and varies by product category) and variable costs (which apply only to the category of multimedia products).

FBA Fees
